Winifred Q. Clark, “Winnie,” passed away peacefully on Sept. 26. Born Feb. 23, 1935 to Winifred and Edward P. Quinn, she grew up in Flushing, NY. She was a graduate of Mary Louis Academy, Marymount Manhattan College, Class of 1956, and received her master’s degree in education from Hunter College. She taught first and third grades in the New York City public school system. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 37 years, William “Bill” P. Clark.

Winnie is survived by her daughter Winifred Curry (John) of Greenwich, CT, and two grandsons John and William; a son, James P. Clark of East Williston, NY, (Stephanie) and two grandchildren, James and Katherine; and a brother, Edward P. Quinn and his wife, Ann, of Flushing, NY.

A funeral mass was held at St. Mary’s Church of Manhasset, 1300 Northern Blvd. with interment following at Mount St. Mary Cemetery in Flushing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Francis Hospital Foundation, 100 Port Washington Blvd., Roslyn, NY 11576, in memory of Winifred Q. Clark.
