Crews are scheduled to repaint lane markings for entrance and exit ramps at these locations during the off-peak overnight hours of 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. on the following days:
- Monday and Tuesday: eastbound between exit 37 (Searingtown Road) & exit 57 (State Route 454);
- Tuesday: the above locations and westbound between exit 57 & exit 49 (State Route 110);
- Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday: westbound between exit 57 & exit 32 (Little Neck Parkway).
Ramps and travel lanes will remain open while workers apply new paint during the pavement marking. However, speed will be reduced while work is being done.
This work along the Long Island Expressway is expected to be finished next month.
