Munsey Park Elementary Send Off To Dr. Kendall

The students of Munsey Park Elementary School had a grand party on the athletic field of their school on June 8. With ice cream, pretzels, food and an awesome DJ, the students produced a program to thank Dr. Jean Kendall, principal of Munsey Park School for 23 years, a fantastic send off. There was a performance of the band and orchestra, as well a special ballad created and sung by the students to their cherished principal.

A special presentation was made by the art department, who completed a beautiful heart created by the school’s students. The mosaic had tiles representing the 888 children of Munsey Park Elementary School.

NYS Elaine Phillips was on hand to present a Proclamation that June 8 be Dr. Jean Kendall Day and to congratulate her on her continued service to the school district.

Kendall received similar proclamations from the governor and the Town of North Hempstead. Many of the administration including retired superintendent Charles Cardillo and his wife Debbie, past Munsey Park alumni, parents and friends attended the special event to wish her well on her new assignment.
