Small Business Saturday in Manhasset was “a huge success,” according to Antonietta Manzi of the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce. “We were able to drive business to Plandome Road and kick off the holiday season.”

These young men are about to post letters to Santa.

“A Merry Little Manhasset” featured visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, two Christmas movies at Manhasset Cinemas, sweet treats and holiday-themed events.

“Families enjoyed a day out in town while supporting our local businesses,” Manzi said. “Kids enjoyed seeing Santa and writing letters to him to bring back to the North Pole. The Manhasset school choirs did such an amazing job singing Christmas carols. Everyone enjoyed it and it really gave the event a ‘community feel.’”

The Chamber and Shop Manhasset are sponsoring a scavenger hunt. Pick up cards from Chamber members or view online. The holiday window contest started on Friday, Dec. 3. Voting will take place at www.shopmanhasset.com.
