Living In Strathmore Vanderbilt

webStrathmore Vanderbilt is an area within the unincorporated town of Manhasset that was developed in the late 1930s. What makes Strathmore Vanderbilt such a desirable locale is the Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club.

The club was originally conceived by William Levitt to be the social center of the Strathmore Vanderbilt development in 1939.

The 9-acre facility has swimming, clay and all weather tennis courts, basketball and paddle courts as well as a playground and clubhouse dining.

Most families who reside in the area take advantage of the attractive facilities which is located at the end of Country Club Drive.
