Len Berman Comes To Munsey Park


lenThe community is invited to meet celebrity sports anchor and author Len Berman at the opening event for Scholastic Book Fair week. 

Family Night kicks off the week on Monday, Mar. 3 with Berman on hand for a meet-and-greet from 5:30- 8:30 p.m. in the Munsey Park Elementary Library.

The annual Scholastic Book Fair at Munsey Park Elementary School takes place from Mar. 3 to Mar. 7.

The Manhasset community is invited to attend this special event where Len Berman will autograph books for sale including his newest, The Greatest Moments in Sports: Upsets and Underdogs. His other books include The Greatest Moments in Sports which debuted on The New York Times Best Seller List, The 25 Greatest Baseball Players of All Time, And Nobody Got Hurt!, and And Nobody Got Hurt 2!

Berman is an Emmy Award-winning sportscaster and New York Times best selling author who has covered just about every major sports event, including multiple Super Bowls, World Series, and Olympics during his 40-year career in broadcasting. His books are appropriate for sports fans of all ages.

Signed copies of his books are available for pre-order (visit mahassetsca.org) and will also be available for purchase at Family Night (quantities are limited).

The Family Night event will also feature giveaways and raffle prizes from local businesses including Destination Science Camp, Unlimited Sports, Matty’s Toy Stop, and Chocolate Works.

Local preschool children are invited to attend the book fairs at both Munsey Park and Shelter Rock on Thursday, March 6 from 12:15-1:15 p.m. for the annual pre-school event featuring guest authors, coloring, and shopping for the younger Manhasset children.
