StoryPicManhasset’s High School’s Hellenic Club hosted Dr. Thanos Catsambas (right), an economist, who will speak about the current state of affairs of Greece. Dr. Catsambas has extensive international experience in the design, negotiation and implementation of stabilization and structural adjustment programs with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
He is a former alternate executive director at the IMF Board of Directors.
He was the guest speaker for the The Manhasset High School Hellenic Club on Jan. 21, discussing “The Greek Economic Crisis – Myths and Realities” held at the Manhasset High School Auditorium

Elizabeth Johnson is former editor of Manhasset Press and Manhasset Press Magazine.
