Girls Cross Country Wins Division And Conference Titles

The Manhasset Girls Cross Country team had another great season, winning Division and Conference titles for the fourth consecutive year. The team is 52-0 since the 2015 season and Nassau County Champs 2015 and 2016.
The team competed at Bethpage State Park to win the County Championships and reclaim the title. Sophomore Angeline Caamano was first place in the race, followed by sophomores Ryann Kenny, Samantha Kinloch and Samantha Chen, junior Sydney Ginsburg and senior Samantha Derasse, all finishing in the top 25 to earn All County honors. The rest of the varsity squad finished strong with juniors Chloe Mantis and Kate Weilep, sophomore Juliana Sims and senior Courtney Lee all earning All Conference Honors.
The junior varsity cross country team also won the competition with sophomore Lucia Rieppi taking first place, followed by freshman Nicole Yarrington, junior Kit Blaney, sophomore Lauren Weppler and freshman Kayla Hsu taking the top five spots and earning a perfect score. Rieppi earned All Conference.
The team worked well together and is looking forward to doing well during the indoor season
