Shoppers galore came to the opening breakfast at the Americana Manhasset’s  Cipollini to start their holiday shopping to benefit charity. The Americana Manhasset Champions for Charity began on Thursday, Nov. 29, and will run until Sunday, Dec. 2.

Kick-off parties were rocking on Nov. 29 with live music and DJ’s in several stores. Patrons were greeted by waiters offering refreshments of sparkling water, champagne, wine and assorted libations to quench buyers thirst while shopping. The retailer would provide a 25 percent pre-tax donation to the charity of choice for the purchase of a full priced item. Stores were crowded with shoppers chatting with friends and sampling tasty canapes being proffered to buyers.

Pooches from Bide-A-Wee were corralled in front of London Jewelers and were available for adoption right on the spot.

LL Cool J will be at Hirshleifers on Saturday, Dec. 1, between 6 and 8 p.m. for his Jump & Ball youth charity basketball tournament. The annual event is played each year in his native Queens neighborhood in NYC. This August 2019 will mark its 15th year. Simone will also be displaying her Simone I. Smith jewelry at Hirshleifers. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

The Americana Manhasset’s Champion of Charity includes stores beginning at Ralph Lauren to Brook’s Brothers as well as shops at Wheatley Plaza. The program also includes restaurants Cipollini, Toku, Bar Frites and Ben’s. Each time you shop or eat, the preselected non-profits you have chosen would benefit during the four day weekend each time you show your Champion number for your purchase.
