Car Show on Sept. 26


The 6th Annual “Cruise to the Show” Parade and Car Show will be held on Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th.

An exclusive MOPAR/JEEP show will take place on Saturday, September 26th from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in Eisenhower Park at Field 6 and 6A. Following the MOPAR/JEEP show, a live concert will take place at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre. A free 50’s Dance Party concert featuring legendary tributes to Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens will also take place on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Make sure to arrive early, seating is on a first come, first serve basis.

On Sunday, September 27th County Executive Mangano presents Nassau County’s 6th Annual Parade and Car Show. The seven-mile parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Briarcliff College. Immediately following the parade, the car show will open at Eisenhower Park, Parking Field 6 and 6A at 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. featuring more than 2,000 automobiles, trucks, military vehicles, and emergency service vehicles on display. Live music, food and entertainment will be provided for the entire family. Many of Long Island’s race, performance and restoration shops will be in attendance.

Special guests Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster) and Pat Priest (Marilyn Munster) from the hit American television sitcom The Munsters, as well as Claudia Wells (Jennifer Parker, Marty McFly’s girlfriend) from the movie Back to the Future will appear at the Autoseum’s booth. On display, courtesy of the Autoseum, will be Herbie the Love Bug, Knight Rider, Dragula and the 1966 Batmobile.

Day of show registration is $25.00 each day. Advanced registration ends September 11th and is $15.00 for one day and $25.00 for both days.
