Burglary While People Home

Police HQPolice Officer of the Third Squad reports the details of a Burglary which occurred on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 12:05 A.M. in Roslyn Heights.

According to detectives, a female victim, 54 years of age, was in her Madison Avenue home with her son, 16 years of age when she heard a noise in the basement.  She turned on a light and did not see anyone.  When she returned to the living room she turned on a light and observed a male, 6’ tall, 150 lbs. wearing a blue jacket and jeans running from the side of the home.  After police arrived at scene, an investigation revealed entry had been made into the basement.  No proceeds are believed to have been removed at this time.
