Buckley Country Day School Headmaster Dr. Jean-Marc Juhel is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Linda Bernard as the school’s Information Technology Director. Ms. Bernard is a graduate of UNISA (University of South Africa) where she earned a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Educational Theory, Mathematics, and Information Technology.
She is currently a candidate for a Master of Education in Instructional Design and Technology. From 2007 until this year, Ms. Bernard has been the Whole School System Administrator, math teacher, and Act-ing Head of the IT Department at Cayman Prep and High School, an independent school in Grand Cayman. Prior to joining the faculty of Cayman Prep and High School, Ms. Bernard taught mathematics and was the Math and IT Coordinator at Phoenix International School, in Blantyre, Malawi.
Ms. Bernard oversees the management of the instructional, administrative, communication and information technology systems, and databases within the school. In particular, she is responsible for the professional development of teachers regarding the use of tablet technology in their clas-ses.
