In addition to its regular Board agenda, the Board of Education met in public session March 6 to approve a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Manhasset Administrators and Supervisors Association, the administrators’ collective bargaining unit, a 15 member unit, which consists of Principals, Assistant Principals, Directors, Assistant Directors and Coordinators.
The MOA, effective July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015, was ratified by the administrators on Wednesday, March 5. The MOA is attached and copies will be available at the meeting. Prior to the vote, the Board and Administration will review details related to the MOA and answer questions from the public.
The Board resolution reads:
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education of the Manhasset Union Free School District approves the terms of the Memorandum of Agreement dated March 4, 2014 between the District and the Manhasset Administrators and Supervisors Association regarding the terms and conditions of employment for the members of the Manhasset Administrators and Supervisors Association; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to execute the resulting collective bargaining agreement on behalf of the Board.
