Blue For Autism

0

The Manhasset Special Education PTA is delighted to support the Manhasset Functional Academics class as it participates in the 2014 “Light It Up Blue” campaign in support of World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. SEPTA is asking that all local businesses and Manhasset residents join in this special event.

All it takes is putting a blue light in a storefront or home entrance or wear blue on April 2 to show our support as a caring community.

Showing support for our students in the Manhasset Secondary School’s Functional Academics class as well as supporting the Autism Awareness Day, helps to bring our community together to provide every student the ability to reach their potential in all aspects of life.

Please take a moment to “Light It Up Blue” on this special day.

Free blue lights are provided by the Functional Academics class by emailing Michelle Fazzolari at michellefazzolari@manhasset.k12.ny.us or Mary Ann Klein at maryann_klein@manhasset.k12.ny.us. More information about the event can be found on the Internet by searching “Light It Up Blue” or visiting Autism Speaks at http://liub.autismspeaks.org/welcome.
