The Women’s Club of The Congregational Church of Manhasset will hold its Christmas Program on Monday, December 7, at 1 p.m. in the church’s North Lounge.
Rick Steves’ beautiful DVD, A European Christmas, will be shown. This travelogue begins with the Christmas story depicted through paintings and music. It continues with the portrayal of Christmas preparations and traditions as observed in England, Norway, France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. Each segment is enhanced by inspiring seasonal music. The DVD concludes as the glorious ringing of church bells welcomes the long-awaited Christmas Day.
The community is extended a cordial invitation to join the group and enjoy Rick Steves’ presentation of European Christmas decorations, customs and celebrations. Light refreshments will be served. The Congregational Church of Manhasset is located at 1845 Northern Boulevard, Manhasset, and is handicapped accessible.
