projectshare_113016abSCA Project Share’s goal is to bring happiness to a child and their family here in our own community. Through the generosity of Raindew, Modell’s Sporting Goods and the Munsey Park Women’s Club, Project Share was able to provide economically challenged children with back-to-school supplies and new sneakers to start off the new school year in September.

Project Share was once again fortunate to be the primary beneficiary of funds raised through the Munsey Park Women’s Club annual Philanthropic Kids Fun Run. This annual run has become a very successful and fun event, which has had the support of the broader Manhasset community for many years.

Upon receiving such a substantial donation, Project Share worked with Raindew Family Centers and Pharmacy as well as Modell’s Sporting Goods in Lake Success, both of whom assisted in providing a significant discount on the purchase of back-to-school supplies and sneakers for approximately 150 students ages 5-18 years old. Both merchants continue to be strong supporters of Project Share and their efforts to assist those in our community in need.

The SCA Project Share is a nonprofit committee whose goal is to provide children and families in need in the schools and community with basic items. Project Share is completely volunteer-based and relies solely on donations in order to provide families with items such as food, clothing, shoes and bedding.
