Light The Night Illuminates Manhasset

Manhasset residents gathered at dusk on Sunday, Dec. 10, to illuminate the streets of Flower Hill, Munsey Park, Plandome Heights and surrounding areas. The tradition, which began in 2010 by Tara Kirkwood of Munsey Park, continues to expand and light up Manhasset. The local women’s club sells packages of luminary kits created by Skills Unlimited, a nonprofit organization developing vocational opportunities for those with disabilities, and creates a festive evening for all to enjoy. Many neighbors came together to chat and others drove to see the darkness turn bright.

The setting was made even more special by the first snow.
